Works on Paper 2021

The LBIF • Long Beach, New Jersey

Juried by Lanka Tattersall

Each time it’s placed in a new setting, there’s fresh context for an entirely new spectrum of responses. There is wrongness in the world, in our lives; this is fact. Many painful human experiences are universally shared, and I’ve found in my stormiest storms, the only thing with the potential to help is just knowing that others have been there before. They can understand. And they’ve gotten through it and kept on walking, proof that I will be okay too. This is solidarity of humankind and this is the most valuable thing I can imagine. That’s what i’m about.
